Our Community
Sims & Associates Podiatry has been a pillar of the Hudson Valley community since 1973. In addition to being the region's most advanced foot and ankle specialists, Sims & Associates Podiatry has a social responsibility to give back to the communities in which we work and live. Through volunteerism, philanthropy, leadership and community activism, the doctors and staff of Sims & Associates Podiatry support our local non-profit and community organizations as well as the residents of the Hudson Valley. This is just one of the ways we say ‘Thank You’ to everyone that has support us throughout the years.
Community Sock Drive
Being a foot and ankle specialty practice we understand the importance of socks. Did you know that socks are the most requested clothing item at homeless shelters across the country? Each year we collect donations of new, unused socks to donate to various non-profits organizations right here in the Hudson Valley such as the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie.
Walking For A Cause
The Sims & Associates Podiatry family is always happy to chip in and walk for a good cause. That’s why several times a year you can see our team out and about at various community walks raising funds and awareness for the cause. Relay for Life, Walk to End Diabetes, Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Walk and many other great causes and organizations.
Healthy Living Events
We’re always happy to be a part of healthy lifestyle events. For years we have volunteered at the Dutchess County Classic and Walkway Over The Hudson Marathon. We offer both medical aid to runners and athletes during the event that might experience foot and ankle injuries as well as provide knowledge and advice for individuals and spectators alike.
Coaching Youth Sports
The children are our future. Just they coach and mentor new doctors and staff in the office so too do they we have an affinity for coaching youth sports. Dr. Erik Sims and his father previous to him have both been heavily involved with coaching youth basketball and baseball in the Hudson Valley. On any given weekend you can usually find them on a court or field somewhere
