Dr. Erik Sims, DPM
Dr. Erik Sims, DPM, is a board certified podiatrist. Like his father, Erik attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Upon completion of his medical degree, Dr. Sims then completed a three year podiatric medicine and surgery residency program at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT. During his residency Dr. Sims received extensive training in the most challenging foot conditions and surgeries and practiced the most up to date training in treatments of diabetic foot ulcers, infections, bunions, sprains, fractures, tendonitis, and many other foot conditions. His unsurpassed commitment to the medical profession and podiatry led to Dr. Erik Sims being named Chief Resident at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT.
Dr. Erik Sims is the first and only podiatrist on staff at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY with privileges to do complex rear-foot and ankle reconstructive procedures.
Dr. Sims continues serving his profession by training podiatry students and residents in various surgical procedures and techniques.
Dr. Erik Sims resides in the Town of Poughkeepsie with his wife, Melinda and enjoys practicing podiatry along side his father everyday.
